Keep your distance and your safety procedures in check, experts urge

BUILDING owners and managers have been urged to continue maintenance and fire protection safety checks. These include residential buildings, commercial, industrial properties during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nationally, the Strata Community Association has received reports of fire protection technicians being denied access to strata properties due to concerns about social distancing and infection.

SCA national president Andrew Chambers said it was vital that maintenance continued in strata properties.

Otherwise, he said, it could create bigger problems and expense in the long term.
