Annual Certification

Fire safety is an extremely important part of maintaining any building, but is sadly, in many cases, put aside or ignored and lives therefore put at risk.

The NSW Environmental Planning & Assessment Regulation 2000 requires that “The owner of a building, to which an essential fire safety measure is applicable, is required to maintain each essential fire safety measure in the building”.

Failure to comply with this legislation can lead to significant fines and possibly serious legal consequences for those responsible.

AUSFIRE PROTECTION can help you with inspecting any applicable fire safety measure installed within the building and also prepare the required Annual Fire Safety Statement and/or Councils’ Fire Safety Certificate (Form 15A).

Some of the fire safety measures include, but are not limited to:

Portable fire extinguishers
Fire hose reels
Fire blankets
Fire hydrant systems
Automatic sprinkler systems
General sprinkler systems
Fire rated door sets
Solid core doors
Fire dampers
Air conditioning shut down systems
Mechanical handling systems
Smoke exhaust system
Exit signs
Emergency lighting
Smoke alarms
Heat alarms
Fire detection systems
Emergency warning & intercom systems
Paths of travel to exits
Evacuation plans
